J.R. Rhodes (Part 2) Season 2, Episode 8
Seattle musician and creator J.R. Rhodes discusses current musical projects, her creative process, and influences in her life, including her Grandmother who ran Rhodes Grocery back when MLK Way in Seattle was still Empire Way.
J.R. Rhodes is dreamer who enjoys creating. In high school, she created a chocolate chip cookie recipe, then baked and sold them weekly to the cafeteria. J.R. works from home mostly, in a simple music and songwriting studio. She has two albums in the works and is collaborating with many folks, including cellist Lori Goldston who you can hear with J.R. at the end of this episode on their beautiful version of 'Black is the Colour'.
