Take Notice: Amplifying Black Stories
Season 2, Episode 23: Marc Cayce
Marc Cayce shares stories of his journey through many career transitions to get to where he is today as a film writer, director, and producer. From the police department straight out of high school in Detroit to landing his first acting gig on the Young and the Restless to producing work that inspires, educates, and encourages critical thinking. You’ll hear about his recent releases like Flint Tale and Black Skin as well as some upcoming projects. A portion of our conversation will be shared at a later date as a special episode where we discuss the media’s portrayal of those in the Black community, Black men, and interracial couples. I look forward to sharing that with you all as a bonus episode before the end of this season!
Marc Cayce is an American film writer, director, and producer. His First film Nikita Blues was selected for the HBO Short Film Competition at the Acapulco Black Film Festival in Acapulco, Mexico.
